Crisis Simulation

Since 2022, I’ve been a Creative Live Role Player with the British company Polpeo, which designs realistic crisis simulations to help brands prepare for high-pressure communication challenges.

In these live, secure training environments, I play the role of online users reacting in real time to a developing situation — from social media backlash to customer service failures or campaign misfires. I draw on my background as an Engagement Specialist at The Social Element and as a long-time forum administrator, bringing authentic, human responses that help teams rehearse, adapt, and improve how they handle crises before they happen.

As a Creative Live Role Player, I specialize in simulating real-time audience reactions across social platforms during structured crisis scenarios. I act as the public — confused, upset, curious, supportive — to help teams experience how a crisis might unfold from the outside in.

  • Creating realistic social media responses, questions, criticisms, and praise
  • Reacting live as situations evolve — just as a real audience would
  • Representing diverse online voices: customers, followers, press, trolls, insiders, and supporters
  • Using language and tone that reflect actual online behavior
  • Highlighting the kinds of emotional responses brands may face in high-stakes situations
  • Identifying weak points in public messaging, tone, or timing through lived simulation
